FAA Part 107 drone

Drone Photography & Videography in North Iowa

FAA Part 107 licensed aerial photos and video for facilities, farms, construction, property and events.

Aerial drone view of a downtown Iowa skyline

Some things only make sense from above: the size of a facility, the layout of a farm, the progress on a construction site or the crowd at a community event. We fly FAA Part 107 licensed drone missions from our home base in Mason City and throughout North Iowa, including Clear Lake, Forest City, Garner and the surrounding farm country.

Aerial footage works best as part of a bigger story, so most of our drone work is paired with ground-level video or photography.

Based in Mason City, serving North Iowa and all of Iowa.

Why it matters

What aerial footage adds

A drone shot gives viewers scale and context in a second or two. It shows how a business fits into its town, how much ground an operation covers or how a project is coming together. For real estate, agriculture and construction, that context is often what people want to see first.

It also makes a video feel more finished. One strong aerial opening can carry a brand film or a promotional piece in a way ground footage alone can't.

Why Kruger Co.

Licensed and planned for safety

Lane Kruger holds an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate, which is required to fly commercially. Before each flight we check airspace, weather and site conditions and plan around people and property on the ground. Our drone work appears in our portfolio, including aerial views of a Farmers State Bank branch and downtown skylines.

How it works

Our process

  1. Initial conversation

We talk through the site, the purpose of the footage and any timing needs, like a harvest window or a construction milestone.

  2. Flight planning

We check airspace rules, weather and access, and plan flight paths and angles before we arrive.

  3. Flying

We capture aerial photos and video, often alongside ground footage on the same visit.

  4. Editing

We select, color and edit the footage or photos to match the rest of your content.

  5. Delivery

You receive edited files ready for your website, listings, social media or a larger video.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Are you licensed to fly drones commercially?

Yes. Our drone work is flown under an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate.

What if the weather isn't cooperating?

Wind, rain and low clouds can ground a flight. We watch the forecast and reschedule when conditions aren't safe or won't produce good footage.

Can drone footage be part of a larger video?

Yes, and it usually is. Aerial shots are most effective mixed with ground-level video and interviews.
